My brother John took this picture on my wedding day; back in 1991 of my father and I, and it has been one of my most cherished pictures.
There aren't any other pictures of just my father and I that I'm aware of, but this sweet photo more than makes up for it with his wonderful expression of love.
They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and I know this to be a fact.
Happy Father's Day, Dad ~ I love you, too. :-)
I used to only take photos, but now I'm writing down the random stuff that pops in my head. Mostly it's stuff about living and working in Boston/Cambridge.

Say aaaaahhh!
It's finally Friday!
Have a great weekend, everyone. :-)
"I've just decided to switch our Friday schedule to Monday, which means that the test we take each Friday on what we learned during the week will now take place on Monday before we've learned it. But since today is Tuesday, it doesn't matter in the slightest."

Home Sweet Home
This was taken on a short walk with my father up the street from where I grew up. Until a few years ago cows would be wandering around in this field. Our neighbor, the farmer passed away last year.

Sky sight
I took this shot last Friday on my lunch hour. I thought the clouds were interesting, and it was just one of those shots you don't think will be anything special. After uploading later at home I was staring at it trying to think of a title when I saw the face. To me it looks like a buddhist monk. One never knows who's watching and looking out for you!

This beautiful Pink Lady's Slipper was found next to a trail in the Blue Hills yesterday morning where I was out hiking with my husband. There were five of them in this little spot!

Ripples on the lake
"When heart is filled with love, your actions will also be full of love. In a well, if you throw a stone, the ripples created on the surface of water cover the area of the well. In the lake of your mind you throw a stone of good thoughts it will spread all over the body. From head to toe such thoughts will spread over."

Poetry in Motion
I had a wonderful time in the Berkshires visiting my family for the weekend, and this shot was taken on an outing to Glendale Falls on Sunday.
I took several different shots, but this one was my favorite.

Spirit in the Sky
Photoshop was used only to bring out the cloud details. The photo was also rotated 90 degrees clockwise. I'm happy with the result. It's best viewed large.

A community of flowers
"We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been â a place half-remembered and half-envisioned we can only catch glimpses of from time to time. Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power. "

Cupping
I didn't get outside during the work day yesterday, so as soon as Phil and I got home I took off for a walk on the nature trail on the edge of our apartment complex. I was treated to a symphony of birds and many beautiful buds and blossoms. I took many photos, and this was one of my favorites. I know the middle is out of focus, but I just love the detail of the delicate leaves.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! :-)

Mother and Daughter
"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts."

A Fan of Manny
Manny is one of the security officers where I work, but he's much more than that to me -- he is a great friend as well.
At my old job he worked in the lobby of the building I was in at the time. Around the time I got my new job a month ago, he was promoted and moved to the building where I work now. :-)
