I used to only take photos, but now I'm writing down the random stuff that pops in my head. Mostly it's stuff about living and working in Boston/Cambridge.
"As you sit on the hillside, or lie prone under the trees of the forest, or sprawl wet-legged by a mountain stream, the great door, that does not look like a door, opens."

Stunning, for a moment there I thought you'd found the first 'giant' mushrooms and I'd find your entry in the Guinness Book of Records, Lisa! ;-)
I don't know how big you all think the mushroom is, but I can tell you that it WAS indeed quite large . . . about the size of my outstretched hand, if my memory serves correct. There was a huge family of these mushrooms scattered all along this hillside. I was quite sad to come home from work 2 days later to see them all mowed down. :(

Fun shot and quote. lol!
agree you having giving it great perspective gives the appearance that the mushroom is huge.

Wow! Great perspective.
