I used to only take photos, but now I'm writing down the random stuff that pops in my head. Mostly it's stuff about living and working in Boston/Cambridge.
This is a Mourning Cloak butterfly that I saw on Easter Sunday, and was so pleased that he or she let me take this photo. I understand that these butterflies hibernate in the winter and are often the first butterflies you see in the spring.Have a nice Friday and a wonderful weekend, everyone. :)
Beautiful. I LOVE butterflies. When my Grandma Ellie died, it was the theme of her servie to symbolize her beautiful life on earth and her new life in heaven. When I see a butterfly I always think of her and that's so comforting. I love the quote too. It meeans a lot to me as I've been having my own awaking lately. Thanks!
What a wonderful pics and a great sign of Spring. Look at my blog and read about the birds and the bees :-)
Squirrel girl ~~ I'm sure seeing this butterfly was a reminder from your grandmother that she's still with you. I'm so glad you stopped by again and that you liked the quote, too!Rennyba ~~ thanks!! :)
Do butterflies hybernate? I thought they only lived for a few months.
The first butterfly...oh, how wonderful! That makes me excited--if you've got them in your neck of the woods, then we should be seeing them here sometime soon...(darn these late springs, anyway). :)
