Dear Lisa,

I am writing from the School of Journalism in British Columbia.

Dear Mark,
I'm glad you found something in my photostream that you liked well
enough to use for your publication. Thank you for giving me proper credit for my photo and for being considerate of the Creative Commons
license.
The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that the image came out looking different. If you would like to use another image of mine in the future perhaps you could let me know ahead of time, and I could send you the file so that the image looks the way it's supposed to.

Sincerely,
Lisa Ruokis

Dear Lisa,

Many thanks for your kind note. I will try to fix the color or eliminate it in favour of something else.

Also, I am wondering whether you would consider this request:

As part of my volunteer duties, I am helping an extraordinary group here in Canada as it attempts to build a "multifaith house of worship." The City of Vancouver is supporting this amazing concept - which would see the construction of a place of worship for visiting Olympic athletes who will be coming here for the 2010 Winter Games. After the Olympics are over, the building will be used by many faiths as a common house of worship.

The project has the support of many faith groups - Christians, Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus - and is a courageous attempt to reduce religious conflict and build openness and respect.

We have a website in the making - Interspiritual Centre of Vancouver - and we would be thrilled to be able to use some of your photos in our work to publicise the project.

It is completely non-profit.

If you would care to talk to me about this - please call me collect at 604-827-3540 - or email me at the university here at markschn@interchange.ubc.ca

Again, as with many others, I really like your work.
