One with the Currents

"Standing on the bare ground . . . a mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or particle of God."

Angels Around Us

"Sometimes an angel appears in the form of a friend who says exactly the words we need to hear that day. Or you will unwillingly act as an angel to someone else, tossing off a message so casually that, though it saves another person's life, you hardly remember the moment at all."
-Sophy Burnham

Happy Holly-Days!

I wish everyone a safe holiday filled with peace, love and happiness. Last year my husband gave me my flickr and Blogger accounts as a gift on this date, and what a gift it turned out to be! I had no idea one year ago what wonderful friends I would make, and how inspired I would be. I appreciate each and every one of my friends here so very much. Thank you!

Sisters with Santa

My sister Kathy and I with Santa Claus in 1970, I believe. On Saturday my blog will be a year old . . . this was a Christmas gift to me last year by my husband, Phil. Taking pictures and sharing them with you all has been the highlight of 2005 for me. Happy Holidays, everyone! Peace and love to all in 2006!

Winter Wonderland

“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?”

Coated with Silence

"It is only when we silent the blaring sounds of our daily existence that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us, as it stands knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts."

Madonna of the Flowers

This was taken this past summer in the Arlington Street Church in Boston. The church has 18 Tiffany stained glass windows, which were installed between 1898 and 1933. This particular window was installed in 1899. I recommend clicking on it to see it large.

Brain Food

A mind is a terrible thing to taste . . . {Groan}
Yes, I actually went out and bought this candy JUST so I could take a picture of it. I must be out of my mind. These gummi brains actually didn't taste bad, but the consistency was not what I would call pleasant. My co-workers enjoyed them however. Have a fun weekend, everyone! :-)

Little Clouds in Raindrops

"I am sure it is a great mistake always to know enough to go in when it rains. One may keep snug and dry by such knowledge, but one misses a world of loveliness."
