I had a wonderful time in the Berkshires visiting my family for the weekend, and this shot was taken on an outing to Glendale Falls on Sunday.
I took several different shots, but this one was my favorite.
I used to only take photos, but now I'm writing down the random stuff that pops in my head. Mostly it's stuff about living and working in Boston/Cambridge.

Here Comes the Sun
"Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right..."

Spirit in the Sky
Photoshop was used only to bring out the cloud details. The photo was also rotated 90 degrees clockwise. I'm happy with the result. It's best viewed large.

A community of flowers
"We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been รข a place half-remembered and half-envisioned we can only catch glimpses of from time to time. Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power. "

Beetle Brilliance
"Come what may, I am bound to think that all things are ordered for the best; though when the good is a furlong off, and we with our beetle eyes can only see three inches, it takes some confidence in general principles to pull us through."

Light and Fluid

The fuzzy branch has sprouted leaves

Cupping
I didn't get outside during the work day yesterday, so as soon as Phil and I got home I took off for a walk on the nature trail on the edge of our apartment complex. I was treated to a symphony of birds and many beautiful buds and blossoms. I took many photos, and this was one of my favorites. I know the middle is out of focus, but I just love the detail of the delicate leaves.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! :-)

Mother and Daughter
"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts."

A Fan of Manny
Manny is one of the security officers where I work, but he's much more than that to me -- he is a great friend as well.
At my old job he worked in the lobby of the building I was in at the time. Around the time I got my new job a month ago, he was promoted and moved to the building where I work now. :-)

Today's entry is dedicated to my friend, Z, who is participating in the Walk for Hunger in Boston today. I hope you have a great time today, and congratulations on all the money you were able to raise. You rock, my friend!
