This is my submission for this week's Photo Friday challenge: fancy
"No one person can wear all the hats all the time."

I used to only take photos, but now I'm writing down the random stuff that pops in my head. Mostly it's stuff about living and working in Boston/Cambridge.

Pink street
A small street near where my husband and I park for work has these beautiful (cherry?) trees that I enjoy seeing every spring. When the blossoms all fall off the whole street is covered with pink petals.

Mirror image
Here is another view of the John Hancock tower from my walk on Tuesday at lunch. There are so many photographs out there of Trinity Church reflecting in this building, so it's not really that original. I was happy how it came out nonetheless.
It's Friday and I'm having lunch today with two wonderful women that I haven't seen in a long time. I'm hoping that they'll let me take their picture.
Have a great weekend! :-)

Buildings in a building
I spent most of my lunch hour yesterday taking pictures around Copley Square. Here's a shot of the bottom of the John Hancock building, where several other buildings can be seen reflecting onto it.

Putting a face on

Green miracle
"People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes. All is a miracle."

You may be a nut . . .
. . . but you have a big heart!
This was found on the grounds of the War Memorial II Park in West Bridgewater over the weekend. Phil and I enjoyed the nice weather and took many photos.

Pink and Gold
Here is another view of Lake Nippenicket ("The Nip") in Bridgewater. I got these shots along the side of a busy road. I parked in a little lot marked "park at your own risk", crossed the street when it was safe to do so, and pointed the camera through a chain-link fence. This one came out crooked, so I had to do some fixing in Photo-shop.

Pink Sky at Night
Taken last night at Lake Nippenicket (known as "The Nip") in Bridgewater. The Native Americans named it as the place where the Great Spirits dwell.

Chiondoxa Flowers ("Glory of the Snow")

Sunday Sunshine
"Perhaps it will seem to you that the sunshine is brighter and that everything has a new charm. At least, I believe this is always the result of a deep love, and it is a beautiful thing. And I believe people who think love prevents one from thinking clearly are wrong; for then one thinks very clearly and is more active than before. And love is something eternal--the aspect may change, but not the essence. There is the same difference in a person before and after he is in love as there is in an unlighted lamp and one that is burning. The lamp was there and it was a good lamp, but now it is shedding light too, and that is its real function. And love makes one calmer about many things, and in that way, one is more fit for one's work."

Sunset Seat
This bench was just begging to be sat upon. So I did.

Enchanted Roses from the Buttercup Faery's Garden
Finding these tiny miniature roses at the Hope Fairy Shop made my day so much happier. I have a "thing" for miniature stuff, and these are so fragrant and perfect. :-)

Sunrise surprise
With each sunrise, we start anew. :-)
This was a view of the sky yesterday morning behind my apartment building, and luckily I was able to get some pictures before leaving for work.

Walking on Cloud Nine
Today is the day -- after over two long months -- that I start my new job, and I am very excited about it.
This picture, which was taken early Friday evening reflects the happiness I feel in knowing that things always have a way of working out.

One Hundred and One
I was thrilled to look up to see this fast-moving flock of Canada Geese while I had my camera in hand! I spotted them as I was walking back to my apartment early Friday evening. There were even more geese than is shown in this photo, but there are 101 visible here if you care to count. :-)

Captivating Crocus
I was so happy to find some crocus flowers hiding near my apartment building yesterday.
I took several photos, but this one was my favorite.
