"Trees serve as homes for visiting devas who do not manifest in earthly bodies, but live in the fibers of the trunks and larger branches of the trees, feed from the leaves and communicate through the tree itself. Some are permanently stationed as guardians of sacred places."
- Hindu Deva Shastra, verse 117, Nature Devas
I used to only take photos, but now I'm writing down the random stuff that pops in my head. Mostly it's stuff about living and working in Boston/Cambridge.

Birdie Snow Angel
A robin landed on this bush outside of my apartment, and when it flew off, it left this lovely impression.
Many robins came to take baths outside of my window yesterday, due to the melting snow dripping off of the roof. Mr. Song Sparrow, who owns this territory took a bath with the robins, just to show who's boss!

Looking up . . .
I have decided to try to never look back or regret anything I've done. It is a waste of energy. If I keep a song in my heart, a bird will surely come.

Pagoda Snow
This little pagoda sits outside of the Japanese garden outside of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I thought it looked pretty with snow sitting on top of it.

Love is meant to be shared
These little Boyd's Bears were given to me by my husband a couple of years ago for our anniversary.
My mother made the little armoire set in the background for one of my birthdays.
I hope everyone who reads this has a special someone with which to share this Valentine's Day.

Almost Sunset
This was taken at the end of my walk on Wednesday. I'm a little under the weather at the moment but hopefully will get some new outdoor photos soon.

Red Shed
I took a leisurely walk around my apartment complex this past Wednesday, and decided to take a picture of part of this shed. I'm glad I spent time outside on this day, since the weather has been rainy or cold and windy ever since.

A Tiny Sign
When you need help and assurance,
ask your angels and the archangels.
Ask them and believe.
Ask for signs of their presence.
Pay close attention, and listen to your heart.
Miracles will happen.

Our friend Dave makes the BEST pizza for the annual Super Bowl party. Here he is about to put the first pizza in the oven, and was kind enough to pause for a photo.
Dave provided inspiration for my husband Phil to start a photoblog, which in turn led to me starting my own.
I am so happy to be involved in such a wonderful and talented community!

Delectable Dessert
Every year our buddy Mike brings these cannolis to the Super Bowl party at Bill & Aurel's house. Mike lives in the North End of Boston, so he has easy access to Mike's Pastries -- a well-known place around here. Stay tuned for other pictures taken at the party. A good time was had by all! :-)

New Necklace
I bought this pendant recently from a wonderful woman named Stacey who makes the most beautiful crystal jewelry. I can spend hours in her little shop. The main piece is an aqua aura crystal, and the small hanging stones each represent the 7 chakras.

The Apple of My Eye (For Phil)
Love is real, real is love,
Love is feeling, feeling love,
Love is wanting to be loved.
Love is touch, touch is love,
Love is reaching, reaching love,
Love is asking to be loved.
Love is you,
You and me,
Love is knowing,
We can be.
Love is free, free is love,
Love is living, living love,
Love is needing to be loved.
-John Lennon

Reaching
"Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be."
